RM SecureNet video guide The videos are in "AVI" format which can be viewed automatically on Windows 95, 98 and 2000 machines. The video files can be quite large (up to 6MB in size) so much smaller zipped versions of the files are also provided. The zip files can be unarchived using winzip.
In this clip we see RM SecureNet started by the exam coordinator. Six exam entry files have been produced by the exam administration software and are waiting to be sent to two Awarding Bodies. The exam coordinator simply clicks on the "send/receive" button within SecureNet to send the files to the relevant Awarding Bodies. Once the files have been sent they are moved into the SecureNet "sent items" folder where the exam coordinator can check whether the Awarding Body has recieved the entry files.
We now switch to one of the recieving Awarding Bodies. They have been sent three out of the six entry files. The Awarding Body uses SecureNet (UAB edition) to collect their files from the SecureNet central server. To do this the Awarding Body clicks on the SecureNet "send/receive" button and collects the three entry files sent by the exam centre. The files are unencrypted and are then ready to be processed by the Awarding Bodies administration system.
Having sent the six entry files the exam coordinator returns to RM SecureNet latter in the day to check on the progress of the files sent earlier. They click on "send/receive" within SecureNet and three receipt files are delivered. A quick look in the "sent items" folder confirms that three of the entry files have been successfully delivered to the Awarding Body. The exam coordinator can also check the SecureNet log to see what transactions have occurred.
